| So yesterday I played a really nice lined custom fretless jazz copy at this used guitar store. I really want a fretless now...
What do you guys think of fretless basses?

| They're fun. It's crazy how differently you can play on them and how much you can change your technique to suit the instrument. | |

| I love them. I used to have a home-spun fretless, and it was a lot of fun to play. And I think it's a good idea for bass players to at least try fretless. There are things you can do on one that aren't quite the same on a fretted.
One day I'll grab me a new one.

| i like them.
i played a real cool hollowbody fretless bass with tapewound strings. i have never seen another one since and i've never heard anything that sounded as good. i'll look around to figure out what it was.
if i ever buy a fretless, i'll hafta find one of these.

| Love them! I have two with flats(a traben, and a jazz), and one with rounds(a p). Just a completly different vibe, and so much fun! | |

Hah, my basses sans frets growl plenty, probably more than fretted, depending on setup. Oh, the white P bass with the gold hardware is pretty nice.
