When Linda and I first came here to Washington, the very first club we walked into was the Fairhaven Martini Bar & Grill located in Olde Town Fairhaven, which is a historic district in Bellingham, Washington. I instantly knew this would become my favorite local club. It was also in The Fairhaven that I first saw my guitarist Andy Beech.
Apparently, the owner has decided to sell the place. Quite the bummer considering that our next gig was to be Saturday the 27th, and the club is set to close on Saturday the 20th.
The owner also has a couple of other clubs in town, and he has re-scheduled us to play at another venue on Saturday, September 3rd. But I am really going to miss the Fairhaven. The hope is that someone will buy the place, and start up a new club.
I guess that's just rock and roll.
