| Wow! Nice bass!
If by next step you mean 'What can I do with it?' I think you can find a lot of answers on this forum in many of the threads...

| sly-thanx dude. mm likesome advices for maintenence, tuning, etc etc, but i`ll be cheking the topics. amimbary-hehhe sorry man,, no, is not a lefty, but a luthir told me that is better if put the tremolo bar in the lefty hole, so i wont brake the strings cause the pressure will be in the stronger strings instead the thin ones. is he right? mike- ibanez active humbuckers, they came with the bass, they sound very good

| oh thats weird I thought I put your sentence in the quotes in my last post..eh, I just deleted it..... and ya you can break the strings by pulling up, but only if you pull up really far...way past anything you would use normally or wanking to make noises... bending down would never break em obviously.. | |

| the only thing I feel about putting the bar in the hole on top of the strings is it is easier to push down, compared to the hole on the bottom. I have the short bar so it IS a PITA for me when it is in the bottom hole.
I can pull up a whole step and kinda close my eyes waiting for the string to break..not yet, but I don't make it a habit of "trying" to see how far i can pull up before one of the strings fail. I use cheap strings but still, if one broke by pulling up like crazy, I'd be SOL because if one breaks, your done. no way the other 3 will be in tune thanks to all of them on the same pivot point/cam.

Whole step can be done for a while when your stings are new. I've popped a lot of stings going for whole tone bends...but I'm kind of abusive with it ! ;-)
