| I am not a member of any of the mp3 sites guys, so you have to d/l this and just play it this was done as an on-the-spot request for a DJ @ Luxuriamusic.com Michael Toth, since he saw my videos that are already over a year old. He wanted the audio only out of the videos, but I said I would just re-do them both. I am NOT a guitar/drums/keyboard player, but took a shot at it for 2 reasons: #1 it was fun trying to remember what I played a year ago, and #2 for this internet radio station to use my re-do's in his show next weekend (July 18th )from 10-11pm as a Tribute to Gerry Anderson, and I will get my name, youtube name, and location thrown out all over the world, which I can't pass up. I'm listening to it now. GORGEOUS!! Thanks so much!

If my song redo's get in the top 10 of popularity, I get nothing but happiness that people appreciated the effort.... UFO and SPACE1999 was 2 of his most popular 70's shows for those who remember Anderson ALSO did "Thunderbirds are GO".

| This is true! I've always said that if a million dollars fell into my lap tomorrow, I could become world famous just with PR campaigns. It wouldn't matter if I had any talent or not. My point is that the more you get your name out there, the better you are known. Now, whether or not you are accepted by the buying public is another kettle of fish entirely. I mean, come on now. Everyone here knows that I'm a legend in my own mind, and no one knows that better than I do. For all that I've done in my playing career, it doesn't mean squat. I'm not famous, and I never will be. The very few points where I have managed to draw some attention are only due to my hammering away at it, and making as much of a nuisance of myself that I could/can. But all that, and a couple of dollars, will still only get you a cup of coffee. No matter what, Mike, you'll always be legendary to us! | |

| not quite yet Eric...the step from "wow he's good" to " OMFG I wonder how long it took to figure out how to do that" will never happen unless I can play like M.A.Batio. Jim Haslip is one of the finest 6 string inverted players I ever saw, but nowhere close to the type of stuff I do, so I cannot even compare him to me. ..I'm ALL BY MYSELF, IN MY OWN LITTLE WORLD OF INVERTED ROCK/METAL PLAYING TECHNIQUE. I'LL probably NEVER have the chance to say "It's lonely at the top" | |

| MIKE TOTH'S EMAIL TO ME THIS MORNING: Thanks so much for letting me include your YouTube performance stuff in my Barry Gray Internet radio show on Sunday. Very cool. If you'd like to hear Sunday's Barry Gray show, just go to this archive of past shows here... feed://www.luxuriamusic.com/station/podcasts/Beyondophonic_Hour ...and click on the MP3 file link with "Jul_19th" in the filename.
There's also a playlist for Sunday's "Beyondophonic" show currently linked from the LuxuriaMusic home page:
http://www.luxuriamusic.com
(That playlist also contains direct links to each of the various YouTube performances that I used in the show.)
The winner won't be announced until Wednesday, but the entries to a related Gerry Anderson contest are up on the blog for viewing and comment. You might just get a kick out of seeing what people wrote. Several were quite a hoot. If you wish, you can see them by clicking on the "Read More" link on the "Barry Gray Beyondophonic Contest..." blog item on the Lux home page as well.
- Michael "Tothar" TothMY REPLY: thanks Mike, yes I heard my entries on the file at about 44 minutes into it. A lot of excellent ideas and interpretations of the various shows...but OMG I just listened to my tunes compared to the old video versions...I'm glad I re-did them....lol beyond the call of duty.....<<< ya, that's right !! In any case, I'll watch the station and see if anyone has an interest in my 3 minutes of fame beyond youtube thanks for finding me and I'm glad I could help you out. Mike MY stuff is at 43 minutes into the file if you download if from their archives. I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO DID THE SPACE1999 AND UFO THEMES!!!!!! can I smell the contest win already? >>>naw, a lot of other peoples "professional stuff" on there, including some symphony pieces that are fantastic but ya never know till it is over .
