you know MB, there are times I wished I played with strings normal and not inverted. When I'm noodling, it usually sounds like Eric (it's called see how many notes you can fit in the measure without going out of key with the drum machine maxxed out at 250bps )
all that stuff he is noodling on is so different than what I do, so naturally I'm 110% impressed, just like the 13 year olds playing Malmsteen/Gilbert stuff note for note after only 2 years of playing guitar.

He changes tunings a lot during any one song. That's one of his trademarks. He posts on occasion at TB.

Thanks, Mike....I think!
Michael Manring is a genius! And I had a close encounter with him back in 2007! We were at the Oakland Zoo, and this guy walks past me with his kid. He was wearing a Bass Player cap, and had his hair pulled back, but I instantly recognized him. Since he was there enjoying the day with his kid, I didn't stop and make an *** of myself. But I was stunned!

Heck! I almost forgot! The Zon factory is located in Redwood City CA, right near where I worked for nine years. Our UPS driver was on the same route as they were, and he did his pickups from Zon a few stops before us. I used to see boxed Zon basses in the back of his truck almost every day, and I used to wonder if any of them were headed for Michael Manring's house!
It would appear that Zon used to use Kahler's on one of their basses:
