| The website is messy and doesnt have much info (like how much and how to get one) and I didnt see bass anything (so thanx eric).
I dig this ... a lot! It takes up less real estate than a kahler. The whole thing seems to "glide" through its motion.
Im getting ready to buy a kahler 7410. Depending on price and how I could get one, ide consider it.

| don emailed me back. he was telling me that even tho he has patented the design, this is still just a hobby of his. the bass trem is just a prototype and more "produces" the ones for guitar.
heres some stuff he told me about his trem from the email ......
"
The one bass you saw was a 'one-off' for proof of concept only (like the one 12 string I did for John Cale). I wanted to see if the parts would stand up the increased tension on a bass. So far, so good. Have never broken a string, and the return to pitch is great. The parts on top (the carriage base plate & saddles) were made from low carbon steel, so they have oxidized in the last 3 or so years since that was done. The feel of the bass version is stiffer than the guitar versions, but I have no reference to compare to a Kahler or Hipshot having never held either one. Because the length of the "lever-arm" is adjustable on my trem, the stiffness is adjustable, but the pitch change follows the adjustment (i.e.: stiffer = more range / smoother = less range). I have tried plating low carbon & tools steels, but the plating begins to erode away in a year or so, so I have switched to castings of various stainless materials depending upon whether heat treatment is required. I don't case harden, as is almost standard practice elsewhere preferring through-hardening 440C for longevity.
"
casting of stainless ... wow. beyond my knowledge, skills or resources.
he asked me to call him so we could talk more about bass trems ... i think i will.
oh, and i'll let you guys know how it goes.
