the bass part of an original's into that I'll eventually get around to posting the whole thing. the guitar and bass follow each other but the guitar breaks off in places to harmonize.
the ganiac is on, the bass is overloading my wireless as I turned the gain on the beltpack all the way up with the hb soloed the drtmbeat is at 173 and the hiss is terrible but no feedback
and what the thing really sounds like ----

ok sly, after 2 weeks of dr and hospital visits later, I finally had the energy to pick up the bass again
I'm one to be prone to kidney stones and have had them in the past so i know what to expect. medication pain pills and blood and urine samples but i'm getting back into the swing of things, no infections, no stone is large enough to get stuck which would require surgery, but annoying and mild pain from time to time till it passes.

before I take apart and ship MadMike my CMG, naturally I have to jam on it a bit this week...lol
here is my highspeed jam I did on the series10 minus the hiss, minus the distortion and just "plain". Not bad for a 100.00 bass, but there is a lot of work ahead to get this neck onto a lefty body and all the rest of the junk that goes along with the rebuild...
.
this was an ABUSED CMG. It was smacked on both sides of the body at the bottom sides, it was a retard who stripped the TR nut AND while in the process ( I'll bet the dipsh*t held onto the head while forcing the nut ), pulled the FB off the neck, but I wanted to show my friend who practically gave it to me that it still plays regardless of the damage...hehehe
My friend did not know it was damaged and took it back. He never opened it when he got it back, just re-shipped it out to me the same day. He didn't care and was happy I wanted it and will be able to use it for my lefty project.

Nice jam mike.
You asked for that specific preamp and pickup ... I said, "ooooookay". You know your rig better than me ... and I definitely didn't get than tone out of it on my 2x15 rig. There was bad hum when I first wired it up, but trying different things and ending up with the switched dimarzio / duncan wiring got rid of most of it. I think its because both of those pups are so hot (11.5k!). Hum or not ... harmonics and growl are nasty with a nice punch. Is that the giantiack thingey? I don't understand why, but that s10 is sounding awesome for you. Im glad.
Now that I look at it again, that charvel fb should be no problem. Since I've gotten back to a job, the ironbird has been sitting on the bench. Busy with work and the house in combo with no cash has let it sit. Ill have to get back to it this week to clear the bench for yours. The bird is gonna be re ranch gibson phalen blue with ebonyized neck. Crap ... I gotta get a mm pickup for it too.
I looked at that charvel body too. Its looks worse than it is. The dings aren't even through the primer and sanding sealer. Yeah, I can do something with that body. Need to find a neck.
And glad your feeling better mike. Wasn't seeing as much of you as of late ... was wondering if something was up.

ya the gainiac up all the way. the CMG version of the same thing is just the CMG no distortion. and that illNINO jam is the s10 with more of the clean channel coming thru with the ganiac still turned on.
someday i'll spend the money and get a vid editing program and just record the mixerboard audio onto the vids, but for now - just the camcorder mics.

well BD as you have been around here for a long time, I'm not one to play with a muffly-blank tone..always trebly thanks to 2 guitarists for many years forcing me to "cut thru the mix"...lol and Eric's 1x15 cab was such a big improvement in the volume wars, I can't believe I relied on PA support for so long ...hehe
