| illegal drugs are bad........ well, some of them are in any case. it lands you in the hospital ( and so does carbon monoxide poisoning ) as I spent most of last night in a hospital bed with stuff hooked up to me to monitor the situation. I was stuck behind a diesel dumptruck flooding me with fumes on the way home from me taking my singer and his wife out to a late dinner around 11pm lastnight and by the time I got home I was throwing up and was so dizzy and whole body shivering like it was 15degrees in my house. I had to call the paramedics to take me down since it was super late and nobody I know close enough would have made it to me quick enough. the ER DR's said from the vitals taken at my house to the vitals on the monitor I was overcome by the fumes ( oxygen deprivation ). I have insurance with a zero deductible but from past episodes, they won't pay the paramedic bill, so I'll be seeing that bill soon ( last year it was 550.00 but they let you pay it in payments -- from the discharge papers I had to sign, it looks like 4 DR's will be paid for the care, and I'm so curious as to what they would normally have charged me for oxygen, EKG, 2 DR's poking and prodding and finally saying everything was normal --go home at frakking 3 in the morning after being there for a few hours. I'm sure that will be 5grand if not more but all paid from the insurance co. I posted my armband cause my socialSec# is not on it. woke up this morning hungry, but perfectly fine and over that weird stuff like it never happened. | |

| I have no fear of hospitals, just a hatred like everyone else. When I feel sick more than the norm, I just go. like the Canadians why stay home and suffer when it's free? WELL, not free I do pay for it out of my check, but last year when I went for a sore throat they did 11,000.00 worth of work and 2 days in the hospital because on the x-rays it showed what looked like a perforation. that was a lot of tests, lots of DR's, IV medicines, radiology/nuclear medicine, anestesia, throat specialists...2 days in a room ( the most expensive hotel I ever spend a weekend in ) | |

| Universal Healthcare.... Universal Healthcare.... Universal Healthcare....c'mon, sing it with me! Mike, I am SO glad to hear that you are OK! And with regards to Mike Starr, what an absolute tragedy! He was under-rated as a player, and he did a lot of really creative lines behind Jerry Cantrell's guitar work. We watched him on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew, and we really thought he had cleaned up. This totally sucks. Yet another tragic loss for metal. | |

| I've always loved mikes work with jerry ... a style I've always wanted to learn more.
When I was really into it, I was more into learning chancellor's stuff. | |
