| yes it is a new month, and new toys to find. Since my white Charvel has been in the shop getting the Kahler+ HB installed for the past couple weeks of May, the wait is over.....it is now JUNE so I will consider it a new June toy to play with. He is gonna drive it down to my house today from Johnstown, PA where he lives since he has to go to Oakland in the city, So I may use it for our show tonight. We will have some pics which I will post on the board here soon enough.... everybody knows the worst part of waiting is always the day it is being delivered... UPS 1Z00000000000 out for delivery 6-5-2010...lol | |

| well it's 3 in the morning here, I got in from our gig, I took the thing with me, I played it and the Kramer, uh....the Charvel sounds quite better so I detuned the Kramer to play the drop-D songs, except we play in Eflat so it was C#F#BE. Obviously I was dying to take it, but I'll mess with it when I have time cause you all know the saddles are a pain, and when I do, I'll take the thing off and see how clean the rout is and take pics. the HB sounds like the J just no hum and about 5x the output so now the blend knob has to be more towards the P side, but both pups together do not sound like a p/j at all ---- no way no how. so in a way my thread title was correct...a new June playtoy for an investment of: jb40-HB 30.00 7410 100.00 >> obviously if I paid 190 like wammiword sells them for now the cost would be higher install 150.00 = less than 300 . | |

| June is almost over, and here's the last guitar purchase for the month of June: a 1992/93 Charvel JX bass. one thing I have learned in 10 or so years that unless the former owner abused the heck out of the units, I'll never find a Charvel "DUD"........ couldn't say no for the price | |

| that plainhead JZB has the same head as my CHS. they also made a Japan only JX: star basses are always available, just not for a couple hundred....you wanna spend close to a grand, I know of 3-4 of them right now... 1000.00 is WAY too much for me Same for the warrior basses. I know you have no hate for C/J stuff, or in the case of the JX, 130.00, which is the ebay ad I posted from that black one I won. | |
