Bit more but I've played it in person... it's killer. Sometimes their price is lower than the one on the site so you should call them,

Thanks Guys! Wink

Still no cashola yet for any new toys, so these will have to wait. Not to worry. I see BB300's between $100-$200 quite a bit nowadays. Of course, I say that, and what will happen is when I do finally get the money, they'll either skyrocket in price....or disappear altogether! Laughing

MadMike, the only thing I can say about that horrid flat gray color is that the owner decided to do a little homespun paint job. A very bad homespun paint job. scratch

T, that one you showed is the exact same one that I first had back in 1983. Wink

Well, I might be wrong Bill, but I honestly don't believe so. If you look closely at the picture, it appears to me that the bass was re-painted with a flat grey. There is no gloss to the color, and you can see inconsistant spots in the paint job.

Grey is a stock color for the Michael Anthony BB3000MA, but this is the only model that has this color option, and this bass is definitely not a BB3000MA.

The original BB300's only had two color options, which were black or red. I know this because I owned several Yamahas during the 80's, and the only color choices were black or red, and I owned both. They also had upgraded models that came in other colors such as natural wood tone, orange (a hideous orange, I might add), white, and burgandy.

Now the line consists of the BB414, the BB415, the BB614, and the BB615. Their color options now are black, red, orange, pewter, white, natural, or sunburst red.

Ah! I overlooked that one. But as far as the BB300 series, grey was never an option as far as I know. And to be honest, I don't really like the higher end BB series, and I'm not sure why, so my experience with them is admittedly limited. They just never felt right in my hands for some reason.

what? no royal blue?

that " custom " paint job keeps me away from buying it ....

perhaps i'll grab the one t posted. i am gonna need a new project to work on soon.

i've always liked the bb series. i've always wanted one since i was seeking out my second bass. cash and opportunity have never been at the same intersection. of course you guys know i like the wal body style and lately i been drooling over lespaul $ basses ... the bb is similar.
