| Without a doubt, one of the very earliest pioneers of truly mind-blowing prog jazz bass playing. Stanley was usually caught neck-in-neck with Jaco Pastorius, with fans of both fighting over which one held the title of "the best bassist on the planet". Stanley's use of his Alembic bass with Bigsby tremolo can be heard on his album I Wanna Play For You (shown below), as well as on his work with the 1970's prog fusion band Return To Forever. Stanley's website is at: www.stanleyclarke.com | |

| i cant find anything bigsby for bass.
but i have seen stanley's alembic with it.
machine shop work much. make parts to swap into a bigsby to accept 4 larger diameter strings. couldnt be all that hard. try it with a cheaper gfs trem first. | |
