| so I got this treasure trove last night, a 7410 gold kahler, and the (supposedly said by the seller) original bongo pickups! along with them, I also got a double jazz pickups similiar to the fender roscoe beck had and Ibanez EDC preamps (vol - blend - B/T stacked, Mid/parametric Mid stacked) damn excited to put all this things together!! so the double jazz will on the neck position with the possibilities to coil switching between single-parallel coil tap, and the bongo get the bridge position with default parallel about the preamps, I'll wire it like it should >> Vol - blend - B/T stacked, Mid/parametric Mid stacked and adding a A/P switch + 1 knob for passive tone when goes to passive mode.. any opinions are welcome!! | |

| hi guys its been a while since my last visit to the forum, and the progress on my 4 banger is so damn slow!!, so here it is I got this stunning looking veneer from my friends " /> the original was 4 inline fretless, then I made a 4 to 5 string conversion, turns out the string spacing was to damn tight, for the kahler project, I cut the headstock, so it became 3+1 configuration and I put the fret back and add some block inlay " /> its a pretty small head, compare to the musicman guitar head did a little photoshop, should be look like this " /> " /> and this is the kahler itself, I got the 5str black from Eric, I'll put the gold one on this project " /> I'll keep you updated | |

| That laminate top burst came out cool. I'm not a fan of burst, but I dig that.
What are you using for clear coat?

it is look nice and play even nicely, the string action was just right, I strung it with 0.45 - 1.05 right now, but will swap it soon with thinner gauge, 0.30 sounds good. however, I did not countersunk the kahler, but there is no problem with the strings action so far as I said, the preamp was ex ibanez ergodyne C series, so it got vol - blend - mid/parametric Q - bass/treble I still want to add a 3 way switching to coil tap the neck pickup the neck was thin and fast, very comfy neck, the kahler did add some weight.. just that for now, I still working out my lousy tremolo technic

| Ill figure it out. Specs are usually somewhere on the internet.
The other thing I was thinking was to change the tone with an inline cap ... .002 - .006 uH or something.
