So it begins! Building my first bass!

I've been going on about it for some time now, but things are comming more and more together! Tomorrow I'm getting the wood, electronics are all delivered, so now the hard part is going to start soon. The building!

I can't wait, I'm very excited that's why I'm posting this.

Off course I will try to keep you guys as up to date as possible with posts and pictures.

I almost forgot to mention this (I think I didn't need to say this on a forum like this but for the sake of completeness I will):

Off course there's going to be a tremolo on the bass! It's gonna be a Kahler 7416 Hybrid tremolo, modified by John Brown from Browns Guitar Factory so it has piezo saddles on it (for acoustic simulation and midi capabilities).

Too bad indeed. Maybe I will build a four string some day. But not one day soon I can assure you, my budget is spent for the rest of the year.

Me too, I've been working on a 4 string Jazz type bass for the past few weeks. Not my first bass build, but it's the first I can say I'm completely happy with the way it's turning out.

Controls are Vol, Tone, Series/Parallel. I'm just waiting for the last of the hardware

I can't say I don't want a 2410 but I've already gone way over budget with this one. Maybe next payday.
