| I hope you Guys that are battling that awful heat are fairing OK. We have been watching the news quite a bit, and it amazes us that it has gotten so bloody miserable for so many folk. I just got back from a trip down to California to see my son, and for my niece's 13th birthday. The San Francisco Bay Area was running between the mid 70's to the low 90's. The Central Valley was close to 100. Yuck. Even here in Washington, it has been warmer than normal. Not that it has been anywhere near as bad as the rest of the country, but for this region, it's bad enough. We've managed to crack the 80 degree mark a couple of times. Yeah, I know, not a big deal to many. But for folks who aren't used to anything above the low 70's, it makes a difference. My basses are still evolving, but with Andy's schedule being so convoluted, I haven't had the chance to take more recent pics of the evolution. We are keeping really busy with our band. We have enlisted an awesome new singer to do covers with, and we are now called S.O.K. It's taken from what the band was called prior (Son Of Kong), which came from the original name (Kong), which, at the time, had quite the revolving door of players until we stepped in. Confused? You're not alone! Other than that, Life goes on! | |

| I havent posted in a while.
Focusing on the new job. Its great to be out of the art industry. The machines i work with produce the tightest tolerances ive ever seen ... and fast! Its been very busy. Im still learning. Learning how to shoot too.
The band is still on hiadus. Jason is still getting moved into his new house and the studio building will start in a few weeks. Then, back to work. Learning 6 string has been inspiring me and i have lots of new material to work on.
I havent posted any bass trem stuff because i dont have any bass projects going on. I am building a les paul copy set up like neil young's old black. Cadillac green top and neck, black back, sides and headstock. Guitar fetish bigsby knockoff trem, all black hardware. I should start shooting paint next week.
The heat broke here on sunday. The previous week had temps close to 100 everyday. In PA, the heat isnt a big deal ... the 90% humidity days are brutal. Compared to november thru march here, ill take the heatwave anytime.
I promise guys, ill do a bass project next and start posting again soon. | |
