| the kiddies might not like it but I sure do... the kahler threads on "what do YOU do with yours" on TB are getting more popular in the past year, which is a great thing as people are coming full circle in installing these things once again like they were 25 years ago. | |

| I have always known that having a bass trem opens up more musical possibilities, and that has to be a positive thing. Thank Goodness we have players like Sly who can clearly demonstrate this on a more popular level! My hats off to you, Bro! | |

Funny how I have had mine since the 80's when they came out & I still discover new stuff to do with it.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy it. Yeah, when I was putting together my solo bass EP project, I presented it to Gary Kahler and he decided to help me out. It seemed to me a natural fit, seeing how I wrote the music with the intention of exploring the possibilities of thumbpicking and tremolo use.

Thanks again Eric. There's really a lot of subtle (and not so subtle ;-)) ways to use tremolos - I feel I have only scratched the surface. It's great to have places online where we can show and share what can be done with the trems, in hopes that it will inspire others to explore and create music with the many expressive effects that the trems provide.

Can you post the link to that thread - I'd like to go check it out. Thanks.
