| I do believe you have yourself a fully locking bass trem, Hans! Nice! What brand is it, and where can the rest of us get one? | |

| Hi Eric !! This is the old ABM i mentioned in an earlier post. It does not lock the string at the bridge, but it has finetuners and a stringlock to put up behind the nut. I plan to take some photos of it on my own so that you can see it properly. One thing that is scary about it is the distance between the studs and the rout for the sustainblock.

| Bummer! So it's not so much a new toy, as it's new old stock that you've had for a bit? Man....I was really hoping somebody had decided to start making locking systems again.
Now that you mention it, that top lock does look like the one I ordered from ABM several years ago. And actually....I had posted in the Other Brands page about an old Floyd Rose style bass trem I had found on eBay, and now that I see yours, I do believe that it was one of these old ABM units.

| as talked about here repeatedly with its large real estate and position of roller saddles on the kahler trems, the bach, ABM's and hipshots will fit on many more basses than the kahlers.
again, figuring out the routing, i should get one of these and try installing it on a few el cheapo $50 basses before putting a big hole in something nice. eric's yamaha RBX's and low end ibanez SGR models come to mind. SX's are really decent instruments at pretty cheap prices too.

| Hmmm....that is a dilemma, Hans. Say....I have a bass you could put one of those trems into. | |

| Eric, if you pass that bass to him, you wont be out a 4 string. This attitude is almost done. | |
