Oh. Yeah.

Went in to Bass Northwest to try out a Rickenbacker and Tim told me they'd get be getting a Marshall Super Bass in in a few days. He called me when he got it and it is PRISTINE...I sold a bunch of junk on eBay and snagged it. After tax, it cost $1860.50. Considering the cheapest clone I could find was a CeriaTone for $1300+shipping, I think it was a pretty great deal. The guys at the shop said it was a '73, but I looked up Marshall serial numbers online and the guides say that a serial number starting with "A" means it was made in '69/70. Just got it home and my cab isn't here--I'm going to jam with my guitarist friend tomorrow morning and test it out. This is the real deal--a well maintained JMP 1992. So psyched!!!

Sold all my amps, so I needed something to fill the void. Right now, I'm using my Fender P almost exclusively. My Blitz is still kinda in the rough, so it hasn't been getting used much. That bass needs nut and setup work before it's really honed in (BTW, graphite nut is the best with a trem!!). I'll be running this beast through my Ampeg Classic 4x10. Overwound Fralin P pickup, (dead) Roto rounds, a PTP tube head, and a sealed cab. I'm in heaven. Or hell. cherry

I'm so happy to get my ideal amp PLUS, getting it from Bass NW at the heart of Pioneer Square...feels really cool. Cool Check them out. www.bassnw.com

Nice!! How does it sound? I just picked up a real nice 1972. The one you have is a 1973. The letter E after the serial number identifies the year. Here is the site with the serial numbers and years on superior music . com

wow this is an old thread. I'll bet he has lots of tales to tell since it has been a year since he got it.
