the descriptions are priceless and great for the "entertainment factor"
I'm posting the descrips because they will be gone after the auction ends if someone reads this thread weeks or months from now.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2005874029901988 Kramer model 710. MIA according to the neck plate. ( Neptune NJ. ) this item will come with the HSC as posted in the picture.
. Unbelievably awesome to look at color shift paint so you can't see the plywood layers, extremely collectible Stewart Spector special wound pickups that were only used in the cheap plywood bodied units, VERY-RARE Gibson 3 way large tip switch. . this is no Music-Yo 1990's alder bodied junk, this is a REAL KRAMER made from the finest 16 layer plywood from the 80's. You will not find another unit like this for years on ebay so be the first to tell your friends you got a steal-of-a-deal on this ultra rare vintage custom bass.
At a starting bid of only 445.00, you can save hundreds from a new Fender MIA since Fender uses lightweight alder and as everyone knows. PLYWOOD IS NOT USED for cost savings, but to let your ears hear that sonic woodtone difference from all the other plain old alder and basswood units out there that all sound the same and who in their right mind would not appreciate a bass that weighs over 11lbs ( as quoted from guitaaar maghuzeene ) --- Plywood or "laminated multilayer wood" has been used in tornado proof doors and they can withstand 100mph winds By using the same 16 layer plywood for the Kramer-units presents a sonically deep and unique tone that is virtually indestructible ) . Who could go wrong with a rare and vintage Schaller roller bridge with so much adjustment you could have the strings at the edge of the fretboard and when you play they go "DOINK" as they fall off the edge a true advantage for those moments where you forget what your supposed to be playing and need to blame it on the bass, and not your drummer for skipping a beat.....WHAT OTHER bass can say that they have that feature built in???
Super jumbo frets and multi piece neck provide the ultimate in resonance. No preamp would ever be needed on this beauty, just plug it into the passive input on your amp, crank it to 13 and shatter windows!!! . you may ask why is it custom? Because I threw it in my trunk next to a sears diehard battery and spilled acid on the pickup cover and you can still see the stain on the j-pickup which now allow it to COLORSHIFT. Imagine that, a colorshift body AND pickup...Wait till you get on stage in front of the bright lights and your audience sees the pickup changing color. they will forget about you, your crappy playing, your band and be MESMERIZED by the changing rainbow colors.
Every show I play with this unit is always a question and answer session. "wow that bass is cool" << ya I know "Wow where can I buy that cool color changing pickup cover for my bass" <<< you can't. "Would you trade me for my Squire relic?" <<
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200567488574&ssPageName=STRK:MEUSX:ITWhat I have up for sale is a SUPER SUPER RARE Jackson J-40 Bass pickup only used on the USA and CUSTOMSHOP BASSES ONLY!!!! You won't find one of these on a Jap/Korean/Indian/Swahili-Jackson, only OEM from the USA/CustomShop units. this pickup is 14.5k in dualcoil mode, has a KILLER deep and growly tone to it, and you will never hear such a FANTASTIC sound from a stock pickup like all these so-called Humbuckers out on the market today. You may say "Hmmm, this is kinda expensive", but any Jackson owner with one of these in it will tell you that it is worth every penny to swap out that CRUMMY-BUZZY J-pickup, and put one of these in. This is a NOS which never even had the plastic on the front removed, and will come with the original box, wiring manual, and bubblewrap that the thing was wrapped in . EDIT: I was asked if this was one of the units that came from the missing inventory about 20 years ago, and who knows. I'm hoping I'm not selling stolen items, but the box sure smells like a human's dirty underwear. this item will be shipped for free within the USA. For international buyers sorry this item is VERY RARE and I won't be responsible for any loss, damage shipping it across the pond to your countries...sorry.
I post stuff like this from time to time to match or overcome the raunchy dumb ads I see all the time. For the 1.25 listing fee, it is worth it for the audience entertainment factor....
