| The time has come for me to start thinking about getting a Fender and I have my sights set on buying a brand-new blonde '57 Precision reissue. I think I have almost enough things lying around that I'm willing to part with to give me a large chunk of the $1400.
First on the auction block, a ca. 1986 Kahler 2400 complete with original box, papers, and goodies! It's in chrome, in flawless condition. It won't include a bar because I traded a 7410 for it with a guy on TB and he wanted to keep his bar and so did I. I still want to keep my long bar, so you can get your own (like from fretsonthenet...once again, I dig his work!) if you so desire. I've never tried it out. I got it hoping for the right project to put it on, but I can't think of anything that really wants it, so you can have a chance at it!
The price is $275, shipping included.
I'll post some pics tomorrow.

| Mike! I completely missed your post! I did not mean to ignore you at all. That's an interesting offer, however the Kelly's 2410 has got a number of scratches on the cam around the arm hole, the rollers have marks on them from roundwound strings, some of the parts are oxidizing and it only has two springs. Are you sure you want it? That doesn't sound like a fair trade for you. I'm also not sure if I'm willing to part with the arm that came with it (that extra inch or so makes all the difference for me ). | |

| ya i took the 3rd spring out of the gold one about a week after i got it, it's still in a ziploc with the screws.. take a pic of the thing and let me see the scratches cause your idea of "not fair" might be ok to me..can you put the camera on a tripod so you can get closeup? there's a guy on ebay selling the black 74's for 150, but if i could have a 24 for just shipping only instead, i'd take it even with scratches. but remember the huge gold block on your black bass will be very very noticeable . I put the spare 4b preamp in the lefty, so now it looks like this: the minitoggle came out of my 86 when i put the blend knob in instead of the 4b's big gibson switch cause I didnt have a drillbit that big handy. it works but I musta hooked the wires for the HB backwards cause when the switch is in the middle both pups cancel each other out, but I'm done for the night. Tomorrow I'll finish it up. | |

| forgot that last pic, it now has a blend knob the blend is so much better than on/on/on, and makes a world of tonal difference. I keep forgetting that this is a SemorDuncan and not a Dimarzio HB pickup, and the 2 colors are backwards. ( black on this one is + ) so now it is all wired up correctly, the smaller cavity on the 2b body accepted all the stuff minus the metal battery holder, but it is so tight the battery wont roll around this is definitely a custom now, and I have one preamp and one HB left that will probably go in the other lefty, just no kahler on the other one. p.s. I will now probably have the only passive 4b in history, until I find another preamp to use in that one. | |

| haha no shooting. I found a black 7410 for under 150 so i bought it. i have found out that the 7410 frame is slightly thicker than the 2410 and because of it the bridge sits slightly higher which does not allow for the "lower" action like the black 2b i traded peabuddy, and maybe someday i will have the hole routed to countersink it so the saddle height screws are not all the way down, but for now i'm happy and it does not affect the break angle on the rollers to the point of rattle.
but i'm not ready to tear it all apart and send it to the luthier since i am using it a lot lately....

| He's still around, but he's just really busy with Life. I still hear from him now and again, but he's just trying to keep on keepin' on. And yes, I reckon that Kahler is long gone by now. | |
