| OK, OK....tiny as we may be, I still want to branch out as much as possible. So if any of You are on Facebook, you can do a search there for Bass Tremolo Fanatics, and you'll find the group page. Join up! Please! If you think our little place is silly with only 35....uh....make that now....34 members, the Facebook page only has 8! Also, I finally registered this place with the search engines at Google and Yahoo. One of the things you Guys can do to help is to have Yahoo or Google do a search for "bass tremolo", and then once you see the link for this place, click on it. This action registers in the search engines database as interest being shown in the site in question, and it bumps us up a little every time. It's all about getting the word out there, and if you Guys could help out the cause, I would really appreciate it. | |

| or Tasmanian hallucinogenic plants??
Tasmania's Rare Plants
Tasmania is home to living dinosaurs – plants that date back to the Gondwana super-continent more than 95 million years ago – and trees so tall they appear to touch the sky. Trees such as Huon, Celery Top and King Billy pine are found nowhere else in the world.
TEKK, what city do you live in so I can find some good articles about it?

| It is the second largest city in Tasmania after the state capital Hobart.[5] Settled by Europeans in March 1806, Launceston is one of Australia's oldest cities and is home to the largest selection[not specific enough to verify] of nineteenth century buildings in Australia.[6] Like many Australian places, it was named after a town in the United Kingdom — in this case, Launceston, Cornwall.
Launceston has also been home to several firsts such as the first use of anesthetic in the Southern Hemisphere, the first Australian city to have underground sewers and the first Australian city to be lit by hydroelectricity.[7] The city has a cool temperature climate with four distinct seasons. The average February maximum temperature is 24.4 °C (76 °F) with the average maximum dropping to 12.5 °C (54 °F) in July.I just looked at 25 pics of scenery...looks like a beautiful place to me Maybe some world wide fans will join the facebook page from your area?

| Well, not exactly. But we do have quite the variety of languages spoken here. You are correct, English is the main language, followed by Spanish and Chinese. I can speak a little Spanish myself. I was wondering about Tasmania since there are a number of countries in the world that speak more than one language. Most European countries speak their native tongue, as well as English. In fact, I'm told that learning more than one language is a requirement in most public schools in Europe. So I was just curious if you had the same thing where you are. But I honestly didn't expect to learn that you speak any aboriginal languages as well as English. | |

| well your #1's Sheehan+ Gallagher are still around, and I'll bet THEY has had a lot more "involvement" in your musical life than Dio did in the past 10-20 years. can you imagine the depression of 40 and 50 somethings when within this past 5 years has seen soooo many t.v. and movie stars dying off after all the years we watched them on t.v. and in movies... and hey, I've never been and never will be anything in your life, but I'm still around to make you laugh, as well as the 30 something people who talk on this board daily If I actually knew you and was part of your extended family, you would have your Yamy BBxxx bass by now. what was that model again 614/414/440 so I can keep looking in our local CL??? | |

| It's the Yamaha BB714BS, Mike. Black, please. But I would also gladly settle for a standard BB300. Well, of course, as a bass player doing what I do on bass, naturally John and Billy have had the greatest influence on me. But I tend to have a list of the top players in music that span many different instruments. John and Billy are my biggest bass heroes. Keith Emerson is my favorite keyboardist. Eddie Van Halen, Uli Jon Roth, and Ace Frehley are my favorite guitarists. For drummers, there is quite a long list, but Carl Palmer, Neil Peart, John Bonham, and Peter Criss are near the top. Then, there are singers. Ronnie James Dio was by far my favorite. It wasn't just his vocal ability, but the way he presented it. He was not a tall person, but when he was onstage, he became larger than Life. From the snears and growls, to the shrieking high notes, to the infamous devil horns handsign, Dio was metal, and definitely influenced the music I listen to, and even how I play. True, losing any of my heroes would hurt, and since Dio was my favorite singer, well....there you go. And cut that crap about "not being, or ever being" a part of my Life. You're an important part of this board, ergo, you are a part of my Life, just as Everyone here is. And if we lived closer to each other, I assure you that we would spend a lot of time knocking back brews, trading bass licks, and making total arses of ourselves! Thanks for being there to make me smile. | |

| Thanks for digging there, Mike! They are nice, but not the models I'm after. These that you found are all three variations on the RBX line, with the first two being the more modern version, and the third being the very first version Yamaha came out with, although I think that paint job might be custom. I once owned one of the first RBX basses, and you Guys have seen the black one I had. They are great basses, but they are really different from the BB series in a lot of ways. | |
