| first I join "leftyGuitarTrader". after a year I started posting over there since I recruited a couple of people to join.---cool Then out of the blue I see another Pittsburgher online, and find out he is in a band I know of. We asked them to play a show with us...they did. I wished I could have played with them to display 2 lefty's in one band --didn't happen --hahah fast forward a couple weeks> our one guitarplayer said he was getting married, and we knew it, but he just up-and-bailed on us last week because his future wife said he had to move to Philadelphia to be with the "rest of the family" and we have shows booked in May/June..so we were looking. ( typical revolving door ) so we found someone to audition and he was over yesterday afternoon.. good player, 37 years old, lives close..blah,blah,blah..everything was good, BUT I GOT a Surprise BONUS FOR SURE. He says he plays a Schecter, and a couple others, but what does he pull out of his case...a damn LEFTY 89 CHARVEL model 6. I already had my Kramer sitting in the stand to jam with, but I threw that thing back in the case and brought out my Lefty Charvel...too funny. so a FIRST in all these years? YEPPERS --- I'm now in a band with another lefty --- forgive the hand wiping my nose, our singer just took a pic and we were not posing . | |

| I was more surprised when he pulled out that Charvel more than the fact he was a lefty and didn't tell me/us until he came down...
the next time I post a stage pic will be with me and HIM on one side of the stage instead of the 2 guitarist usually standing next to each other...I always was "alone" on stage worried about smacking necks with the other guitarplayer...but not any more...
we made a video of yesterday's jam, but nothing post-worthy so next weekend I'll get a couple tunes on youtube....

| Why stop there? You should start a side band where everyone's left handed! | |

I never looked CB, that could be a 89 475 DLX because it has the toothpaste logo.... all I know is he paid 109.95 for it at a local guitar shop cause the store didn't know what they had and the neck pup won't work, it's missing a knob and the back tremspring cover.... if I was a guitarplayer I would have bought it as well for 110 bucks........

| let's say this TEK, I hope the world is around in 40 more years so you can reach 50 without natural death, solar flares that strip off our ozone layer completely, WW3, or the moon slightly going out of orbit as to flood every coastal continent with a sea level 100 feet higher than it is today -- or naturally the best one if some oddball country detonates a nuke in space and wipes out all communications all over the globe and puts us back into the pre-electricity days and 3 billion people starve to death and die ( are those topics Armageddon enough for ya ..hehehe ) ON A BRIGHTER NOTE..... I told our lefty guitarplayer if he bought one of these.....I would have Jackson C/S make me a bass version. and oh ya, provided we had 15 gigs where I could make 4 grand from them ) ---hahahaha!!!!! time to make some gig money so when I get my new metal bass I can break out the LEATHER PANTS again they havent seen stage use since I was in the IronMaiden trib band in the late 90's . | |

| I'm resurrecting this thread because another first in the whole band carrear ----------------- what did our righthanded guitarplayer just buy this week? a used DXMG. the "first" is I never played in a band that all used the same guitars before let alone ALL Jacksons How ironic since it's a reverse head and all the heads can point the same way for a picture looks like mom in the middle and the 2 kids on either end since the bass is so much bigger | |
