Yeah I really like the sound of Dobros and steel guitars and stuff. I wonder how it'd sound played with a slide...

I remember experimenting with a slide on my bass back in 1983, and it didn't work all that well. But I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if someone like Les Claypool could make it work.

There's a music store in Seattle (can't remember the name, but they have a sister store in San Francisco that I've been to before) that had a bass dobro, and I played it for a bit. It was interesting!

Try to remember the name. I'd be interested in trying one out

BTW, I've experimented with a slide too. Kinda fun, but a little impractical. The guy from Morphine made it work though.
