| Apparently, the string retainers on status basses are about 2 inches away from the nut, and they make it so you can bend notes. I don't know much about it TBH, just something I came across on accident | |

| King used to do those bends on standard basses, and missed them on headles ones, so, Status said, screw it, we'll make a headless that you can do 'em on. | |
