| It has been quite an interesting weather day around here in the wilds of north-western Washington State. Linda and I took her father up to Mt. Baker for a drive, and we ended up at Artist Point which is 5040 feet above sea level, but only about an hour from where we are located. There is a lot of snow up there, which is trippy to me, since we have been having temperatures in Bellingham hovering at near 80 degrees. While we were there, we began to hear a lot of thunder, and had a few sprinkles, so I got us off the mountain before it got too bad. But it seems the weather followed us home, since we have been experiencing a lot of thunder and lightning here ever since we got back. We even lost power for a minute after a particularly close lightning strike!
Martin, how have things been in your neck of the woods? Linda and I have been watching the Seafair/Torchlight festivities on KIRO 7 ever since we got home today, and it seems that the weather is slowly making it's way down your way.

| Went diving today. Weather in Monterey was terrible, but not as bad as WA apparently. We did 2 dives, and in between I took off my wetsuit and relaxed in the car and listened to music for about an hour. When I came out and got my soaking wet wetsuit back on, I realized it was more comfortable then my dry bathing suit. Thats how cold and windy it was. Despite that, the water wasn't any worse than normal (50ºF and poor visibility, but you get used to it) and the second dive was actually one of my best ever. | |

| Good to hear that, KS! Diving can be a lot of fun... Today, we had the first rain in a long time starting at around 7:15. Looked like it came up from the south--yesterday, I saw a bunch of thunderheads almost blocking Mt. Ranier, but it's possible that something might be headed our way from the north as well. Thanks, Birch Bay weather station! | |

| I love walkie talkies. I like having a job where sometimes I can carry a radio and look important. | |

| i love july and august in southeastern pa .... we had rolling thunderstorms that knocked out the power and the nasty heat and humidity of yesterday afternoon that wreaked havoc with my bass.
the power was out for 3 hours, so mimi and i walked around our town with lightening and thunder crashing overhead ocasionally. it was cool because we werent the only ones walking around ... with the power out, the town streets came alive!

| Ha, Thin Lizzy !
Been a long time. I heard they are touring again.
It has been the weirdeat summer I can remember here in Chicago. Very mild & damp. We have rarely broke 90 degrees F. It has been raining almost three times a week.
Usually its very hot, humid & dry in the summer here.
I'll take it!
No need for air conditioning & watering the yard & garden.

ok so maybe I'll have to do a Phil Lynott tribute, and do 5 T.Lizzy songs in a row?
