| there is now a TREM thread on TB.com, "Show us your bass with tremolo bridge" and noobonroad was posting people links of famous trem users and mentioning this name and that name, as people who use trems, but nowhere did he say EricHaven....SHAME SHAME ( until I reminded him ) - Originally Posted by NoobOnRoad : "Have you heard of a guy named John Gallagher? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdlUscYeJGg"and I said: "what about Eric Haven noobie???? ....lolololol. another famous 80's and 90's trem wanker" and he said: "PLEASE FORGIVE ME" so now I feel better that your name Eric is part of the famous trem users out here | |

| haha like chris tucker says "naw may'n, iz juz messin wit ya". I told chowderhead a year ago, I would post a very complex trem wanker video but not until he posts at least one of his own playing any cover song he wants...trem or not. Well that did not happen, so I'm still on youtube with NO trem wanking videos thanks to him. will this make him feel guilty enough to post? naw... | |

| What? I traitor amongst our midst's? OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!! I'm only teasing you, NB. Hey, I'll take all the publicity I can get! And the only measure of fame that I can claim is from what I did in the SF Bay Area for all of those years. I'm nobody, except for maybe all of the noise I make about bass tremolos. But I can't make any major claims to fame at all. I'm a legend in my own mind. OK. I just did a Google search for "bass tremolo", and my MySpace page came up as the ninth hit. Does that count? Happy Birthday, Mike! | |

What about 100? by the time YOU are 50 kugel, living to 100 won't be a "rarity" anymore and thanks eric, just another day at work and play for me, as I took my parents out to dinner on Wed night to celebrate it. no guitars for me this month, that dinner/drinks was 282.12 for 3 people. I always love this place cause it is a suit and tie no doubt about it, and the prices are NOT listed in the menu, you either CAN afford what you want, or you don't go inside !!!!

| Eric, you're on the fourth page of google.ca . An if you try to cut my head I'll haunt you to the rest of your life. But more seriously, I'll be off 2 month without internet and T.V. Starting this monday. Because, as always, I am on the road. 4 hours of car this Monday and 10 hours of bus this Tuesday. And I hope they'll not give us a cheapy yellow bus or I'll kill them all. | |

| Because that when I stay at my dad's house in my native village, we must do at least 45 minutes of car to go at the nearest little city. Also that when I was living in Chicoutimi for college, it was 1h30 from my village.
So I am always on the road because I live in the province of Quebec in the Lac-Saint-Jean region(02). And that nothing is near to other things over here. That's why I am always on the road.
But, at least, I friggin' like to be on the road!
And this job is 12-15 hours from my home, and I wanted it because it is in a Summer camp that almost nobody talk in French. Because my English is a little bit suffering these times.
Well, let's say that there will be 30 person on 900 that speak French so I'll speak only in English.
I'll be back in August with a brand new bass, and I've got no wonder what I'll buy, but I am being gassy for a Tbird.

Really? I think your English is pretty good. It took me a while to figure out you were a non-native speaker.

OK...that might not read correctly, because I used Babelfish to translate English into French, and it doesn't always work too well. Enjoy your trip, and we'll be here when you come back online. | |

| KUGEL, since the 40's the automatic teletype machine was probably one of the pioneers of sharing text pages over the phonelines to multi users which were especially helpful for reporting news to various cities papers, and for general sharing of information across a multi-user platform without having to have actual people calling that stuff all over the US... so sharing information across a platform of multi-users HAS been around for quite a while longer than you would think, it just never looked as cool as it does for the past 10-15 years thatnks to the inventor of the HyperTextTransferProtocol. as far as old computing devices that started us all off to where we are now: As early as 1725 Basile Bouchon used a perforated paper loop in a loom to establish the pattern to be reproduced on cloth, and in 1726 his co-worker Jean-Baptiste Falcon improved on his design by using perforated paper cards attached to one another for efficiency in adapting and changing the program. The Bouchon-Falcon loom was semi-automatic and required manual feed of the program. In 1801, Joseph-Marie Jacquard developed a loom in which the pattern being woven was controlled by punched cards. The series of cards could be changed without changing the mechanical design of the loom. This was a landmark point in programmability. so there....top that reply if you can.... | |

| As for the English thing, you think I speak it well because I am not in front of you . I understand it very well but talking with someone in face is something different than talking over the net. On the net thing, I was saying this just to advertise you that I'll not be here for the next 2 month. But on the T.V side, I'll miss two and a half men and The tonight show with Coco. - Quote :
- now the no t.v. thing?...well I'd have to find a partner to have sex with so often, TV would be the last thing on my mind.
A sex partner... in a summer camp... Bad idea considering that if they took me doing bad things they can fire me and that I would have 24 hours to get off the site... Sure the coworkers would not tell but if a boss hear something... Nah bad idea.

| NB, I think we all agree that, even if you aren't standing in front of us speaking, you still do very well with your English. Look at it this way, your English is still FAR better than our French will ever be! And Mike, I think I might have topped your reply: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antikythera_mechanism | |

| The mechanism is the oldest known complex scientific calculator. It contains many gears, and is sometimes called the first known analog computer,[7] although its flawless manufacturing suggests that it had a number of predecessors which have not yet been discovered. what you found was an ancient calculator, just like the ancient clocks but it was not user programmable to vary the output. it says it used used fixed points ( generally the moon/sun ) to calculate but it was not something you could input random data to, and have it calculate it as 1940's and up "computers" are capable of doing. remember as far back as thousands of years ago, the chinese already had the abacus, a simple "calculator", but it was not a computer either | |
