| I was tempted to put this under New Toys, but I was interested in what effects you guys use. I got an MXR Phase 90 on Ebay, and it just arrived today. I tried one out at Guitar Center over the weekend, and it was kind of an impulse buy.
Anyway, here are the pedals I use: MXR Phase 90 70's Morley PWB Wah+boost 3XFX Fatman Distortion Digitech Whammy EHX Bassballs ISP Decimator
(I'm kind of an FX junkie)

| I want an HBE Frostbite flanger...those things look so cool. A friend's neighbor is looking to sell an ART Nightbass unit. I'm still on the fence about it, though. It's like a light board that swallowed an effects processor. | |

| I have a Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver and a Korg G5 Bass Synth. I like both, but I don't use them a ton. The G5 is really cool though; it does a great job at getting some classic fatty synth sounds from a bass guitar. | |

| I've got a Bad Horsie 2, a couple dirt boxes (nothing too special), and a dead chorus pedal. I've got a Tube Screamer that I'm letting a friend use with his Mesa Dual Rectifier. Holy hell. Bad Horsie II and TS-9 into the front of the Rectifier with some reverb, chorus, and delay in the effects loop...sounds SO awesome. The BH2 can make an amp scream, especially on the contour mode. Unbelievably wicked. Anyway. In the next week or two, I should be getting an amp with killer spring/tube reverb (not to mention some deep, stacked gain). I'm looking forward to that. A lot. What I want is either a good multi-effects unit or a simple board with some useful, high-quality effects. The Nightbass looks really cool and it caters to the control freak in me the way you can tweak every little parameter. But I'm still on the fence. Seemed kinda noisy. I need more time with it. If I were to start assembling a pedalboard (which would take money, something I don't feel like spending on bass gear at the moment), I'd be interested in two HBE pedals--the Power Screamer and Frost Bite. In my dream rig, one channel is all-out midrange. In other words, it's the Lemmy channel. I love the sound of a Tube Screamer on guitar and since the Power Screamer has three selectable diodes, maybe one of the deeper ones would help give that much of an extra upper mid bump. Their Full Metal Jacket also looks kick ***. And the Frost Bite looks like it covers a lot of chorus and flange sounds really well. I'm very interested in one of those. I love delay...and an MXR Carbon Copy is something I want really bad. Sounds very lush from what I've heard. I'd like a different type of wah--a Crybaby, perhaps. And a volume pedal would be nice. Something like that | |

| I chose the 3rd option, I use two Ibanez Tone Lok pedals, delay/echo and a bass synth when certain songs call for it. My GK has an overdrive channel but I never use it. | |

| I choose option 3, and these are what I have.
Blackstar HI-DISTX(tube high gain distortion), MXR Blowtorch, Snarling Dogs Bootzilla Bass Wah, Dunlop Crybaby Wah(standard guitar model), Glx Bass Chorus, Glx Digital Delay, Glx Bass Overdrive, Glx Bass EQ, Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter, Boss MT-2 Metalzone, Boss RV-5 Digital Reverb, Boss BF-3 Flanger, Boss OC-3 Super Octave, Rocktek Distortion.
I need to pick up a few more odd things soon.

| I had a bass amp that distorted awesomly when you cranked all to 11. So in terms of effect i was limited to this. Now i am limited on my fingers only.
Maybe i'll buy some effects sometime. But now i am on low budget and i'll wait.
But I loved my good old home made distortion!!!

| Huh...oh my god. That with an 8 string bass would be SO fuggin' cool... If I got that setup going in stereo, I don't think I'd be able to stop playing Parallels | |

| For now, it's all my distortion only. Eventually, I'll get a POG, and maybe a flanger/chorus.
Oh! And I really want a set of bass pedals, like an old Moog Taurus One!

| Or even better, a 12-er going through a HOG or POG with all octave settings a-blazing! Imagine the chaos! | |
