That's my Epiphone Nighthawk Special III, nice guitar, two humbuckers (one slanted) and a single coil, Strat type 5 way switch and a fulcrum type tremolo. It's a nice sounding guitar with great action. My lead guitarist likes it and feels it's very versitile. However I rarely let him play it because he breaks strings too often.

| Huh cool. You don't see slanted bridge pickups on LPs like that and I think it looks awesome. | |

| Here's a close up of the Gibson version, they don't have a curved top like a LP. Different tone as well, I don't think they're as muddy as a LP. | |

Unfortunately the bridge pickup can't be changed out with a Dimarzio or something similar. They're manufactured at that funky angle.

| You might be able to of you carved some wood away, but yeah...nothing that I know of would be a direct replacement. Still, stock Gibson pickups (especially older ones) tend not to sound too bad! | |

| You could get two single coils and wire them up as a humbucker... | |

| They actually sound good as is, you can see in this pic my Epihone has different pickups than the Gibson. Rails as opposed to separate polls. | |

| Woah! Don't touch them! They're Bill Lawerence pickups he designed, if not made, for Gibson and Epiphone! | |

| ya that's right....part it out !!!
with the ridiculous prices I have seen for OEM old pups, pots, pickguards, neckplates...hell even trusrrod covers going for 150.00 I wouldn't think a million, but quite a LOT of money in parts.

As Choder has said, they most definatly are! I love love love Bill Lawerence Pickups, I have a set in my Jazz bass, and the ones that come in the Roscoe Beck are his design too.
