| I just started working at Nature's Path located just north of us in Blaine. They run 12-hour shifts, and it looks like mine will be from 5 AM until 5:30 PM. And it also appears that my schedule will be Monday through Wednesday, with the rest of the week and weekend off.
I just got home today after working my first full day, and I am shot! But I am grateful to be working again after having been unemployed for six months!

| CONGRATS, ERIC!!!! What kinda shop is that, man? That's wonderful that you were able to find work that fast! It's hard for anyone to get work anywhere. It's not too bad in WA, but it's not the best, either. Where did you use to work? That sounds like it could be pretty grueling, dude. I'm not a person who likes to get up at that kinda hour At least you have regular hours....and at that, those aren't very bad hours at all. | |

| Those are my sentiments exactly about my job, Mike. But it's not just a job for me, but a career and a bit of a way of life. And I love it. | |

| Awww, thanks Guys! Nature's Path manufactures a whole line of natural and organic foods such as granola products, flax seed, and cereals. They have four facilities, with two in Canada, one back east that they just acquired, and the one in Blaine WA where I work at. You can check them out at: http://www.naturespath.com/And to answer your other question, Martin, I worked from June of 2000 until October of 2008 (when I moved here to Washington) at a company called DigitalPersona, where I ran the shipping department. They manufacture fingerprint biometric systems for computers: http://www.digitalpersona.com/As far as my luck in finding a job fast, I don't really think so. I have been unemployed in the entire six months since my move up here to WA, which is bad for me since I have never been out of work longer than two weeks ever before. But, I am working now, and I am grateful. And yeah....what is it you do, MadMike? | |

| oh my goodness ... i havent looked at our website in over a year. i'm kinda embarassed. this is no representation of the work that we do. by no means do we use this website as a marketing tool. the boss sais that he wants to change things around with sales and production and this is a part of it ... going national with the website. all the business we do now is local sports teams. its a long way between here and there. we need more employees! but anyhow ... here it is ..... http://www.2-sports.com/index.phpi am a graphic artist that specializes in embroidery and team sports clothing design. lemme see if i got any pictures of my work on this computer ............ | |

| lotsa stress and deadlines, but providing professional type uniforms for little league and ameture sports teams is very fulfilling.
like i said to eric ... having someting to offer people to better their lives. its worth twice my salary when i see little league teams playing ball in the park wearing uniforms i made.
peewee hockey is awesome too!

| Yeah that's kinda how it is with my work--lots of work, lots of pressure, but really satisfying results. And I love the wacky hours. | |

| I will wholeheartedly admit that it is a real pleasure producing a natural product to offer to the good health of the planet, and it's inhabitants. The company goes out of it's way to recycle, and they even have a small composter right outside the lunchroom that they use to fertilize the landscaping around the plant. Not that I'm a health nut, because I'm not. If I don't have my red meat, ale, and coffin nails, I get really cranky! But I do appreciate the efforts of those trying to make a positive difference in the lives of people. And yes, I do enjoy a lot of granola products once in a while. | |

| Oh GADS!!! I am TOTALLY craving some rare, red meat done over a fire right now! But we do have leftover pasta and Italian sausage in the fridge, and I think that'll do nicely for now. | |

| I've heard people say that just as women have a monthly cycle, so do men. Women tend to crave chocolate every month, men have a period at least once a month where they crave meat. Wouldn't surprise me if it is so. I think all animals are connected to some kind of lunar cycle. | |
