| Here, KS. I'll paste into this thread what I wrote about it in The Rant Room: I apologize for our place vanishing yesterday. Even I couldn't access any part of the board, but I was able to get into the admin panel where Forumotion hosts their support boards. Let me tell you that the board was awash with angry posts from several others who have boards here, and it appears that nearly every board that Forumotion hosts was affected in the exact same way. After trolling through several postings, I finally found a posting from a moderator who said that their server network had suffered some sort of bug, and that they were working on it. The admin said that they expected the problem to be fixed by today, and it appears that they did so. I am sure that many of you have observed a few problems along the way since I moved us here, and I have taken note of them. What I might do is begin archiving everything with the thought of finding us a more stable home. In this way, the only trouble to you guys would be that you'd have to mark the new web address. For now, the folks at Forumotion keep telling me that they know they are having some issues, but that they are working right now to upgrade and improve the flow of things here, and to be patient. So all I can do at this point is ask that you guys hang in there with me. If things do get better, than all is good. And if not, then I'll move us. Part of the issue is that Forumotion is a free site, and as such, the level of quality won't be the same as it would on a paid site. So, like I said before, I will one day (when I can afford to do so) move us to a paid site that I will personally fund. You read that correctly. I will never ask for any money from you guys for being here. Believe me, it would be more than worth it to me. The things I learn from all of you, plus the friendships I have found here are worth so much more to me than a few bucks a month are. | |

| True dat! I had a hard time sleeping last night worrying about whether or not everything had been dumped! But one thing I can say about Forumotion is that they back up everything, so even though it get's a bit squirrely at times, I don't believe we'll ever lose everything as we did before at the old place. | |

| you guys have a small "clue" for the total picture on networking and the pitfalls of "hosts" crashing. I do this stuff ALL week and feel bad when a business is down for 1/2 a day without phone or internet service.
( sometimes even longer....imagine your business losing a day of money from no internet or phone service ---oy vey ) | |

| I'm with you guys. I wasn't complaining. I'm actually very impressed how quickly forumotion was able to fix the problem. Less than one day isn't bad. A little annoying, but not a big deal. | |

| The thing about it that really bothered me was that I didn't/don't want a repeat of what happened at the old site, and so for a while there I was going "oh no...not again!" But as long as Forumotion can keep things running relatively smoothly, then I'm OK with the occasional glitch, and I hope you guys can, too. | |
