Probably the simplest and primary thing you can do. Take the note you wish to drop, and simply lower the bar all the way down. This can particularly effective at the end of songs. For example, I love to take my open E string, and simple drop it all the way down into the mud, then bring it back up again. Sometimes I will drop a string, and bring up the entire chord.
