i fixed a broke off gibson headstock for my buddy ("the sleestak") and then got his jazz bass working correctly. a typical musician having no money, he gave me an epiphone ripper skeleton for the headstock and the 5 string kahler for the jazz. the install on a 5 sting is in fact easier? or im just really getting good at this. all those epi's are yellow. cool but ordinary. went green trans laquer. this is a 4 sting bass but ... i got a screwdriver and allen keys. some disassembly required. corona virus hits and i got buckets full of spare parts. all work and no play makes mike something something. this is what happens.

yes, no tone. when i initially set this up it was a JBE p-bars right to the jack. i've never used a tone knob unless its a boost/cut power eq and surprised in the difference in attack, tone and effect response. its now a Nordstrand. nice but not equal .... the JBE went in a higher end bass. i guess its hot enuff.

fun toy!
