these are all custom and i've seen them with and without the pistol grip top horn. of course the most famous one was the one John Paul Jones was playing during achilles last stand in the song remains the same.
alembic was the innovators of the active pickup, onboard preamps and rack tube preamps. they do some nice woodwork too!
these things start at $12,500 ... i dont think i'll be getting a triple omega any time soon.
but i am building some pretty nice basses these days ... maybe a cheap knock off for a next project???
