So I thought I escaped with only two bad things. Lost my job and smashed up my car but things turned around; im back to work and I got a new ride. Was feeling like I got away with bad #3 happening that usually does.

Even tho I enjoy working on our house, we paid someone to sand and finish our livingroom / diningroom floor. They did a great job ... its beautiful and only took a day and a half.

I was thinking about the gear in the basement and I cheked last night after they put down the first coat of finish ... not a drop. I was gonna move the yamaha attitude anyway and just never got around to it.

After the final finish today, I cheked again tonite. The attitude has polyeurethane drips all over it.

I gotta refinish it again. This will be finish #3.

And bad thing that happened #3.

Well....hmmm....at least the bass is still relatively OK. It would have been much worse if the thing had somehow burst into flames, or fell apart. Not that either are likely, but I think you know what I am saying. Still, sorry to hear of the setback. But you are enough of a master bass luthier to be able to recover from this one nicely.

Thanks for making me giggle about it eric. No, it didn't burst into flames.

There's marketing in there somewhere. PXR ... so awesome they spontaneously combust!

Rubbing alcohol took the eurethane off, but the eurethane broke down the lacquer, so there's drippy streak marks in it.

I been participating in the guitar re ranch message board and I want to try their products. Up intill now I was just using deft lacquer. They got the real nitro stuff.

Im gonna respray.
