Tony franklin joining twitter recently brought to me wonder. How many of you guys use twitter? so far it's been a blast for me because of the sheer amount of famous bassists who use it.
Eg. bootsy collins. marcus miller. Victor wooten. Tony franklin. Jeff schmidt. Geddy lee (his is awesome btw)
Does anyone else here use twitter?

I don't Tweet, but I know a lot of celebrities do, so I'm not totally against the concept.

I dunno. From what I've heard, Twitter is a lot of things like "I'm in the bathroom now! Later, I'm heading to Starbucks". It sounds like the Seinfeld of the internet. Again, I'm not against the concept, just that I don't have time to read up on every little detail in everyone else's lives. I've got enough of that with my own life.

Nah that's a load of media bullshit. Certainly it exists, but it won't happen if you only follow people who actually have something to say. None of the people i follow post vapid useless self proclamations like that. I follow a lot of high profile computer programmers and members of writing teams, never get crap in my feed ever.

I dont tweet, but do not feel I need it. However, my daughter pickup up a tweet from a bass player from the Japanese Band D'EspairsRay & said they were in our town to do a show that we were unaware of. We got tickets that day & went the same night.
It was one of the best shows I have been to in a long time. My second cousin put it best, when you see the Japanese its like seeing the future. There were so tight, so perfect in every way in their performance, from the clothes- hair, stage movement & playing/ singing. You can tell they put 100% into every show. Its not like they were musically amazing, but put on a great show.
