They look cool, but not for a 50 year old man. Model G pickups are supposed to be really good. I guess this is a USA model.

No Mike.

Do not throw them in the fireplace.

Send them to me instead! Laughing

Man....I would LOVE to have a pair of those old DiMarzio humbuckers like the ones on that Dean!

and don't worry as long as the midlife crisis is occurring, I'll keep em. Then when Alzheimers sets in, I'll forget this thread and throw them away Sad

They are even harder to find in black. The downside of them are they are only one size - guitar bucker, so the pole pieces do not line up for the bridge pup. Although I have been told hey are so high output, it does-not matter that much. Kramer & possibly BC Rich used them as well in the 90's?

those dimarzio humbuckers are cool. i been looking for passive ho humbuckers and these ones would be it. i havent found any of these nos or any equivalent.

i gotta keep going with the pitbull and q tuner line of thinking untill i can find something more like these pickups.

and yeah mike ... i like the charvel star better too. this dean looks like an explorer and a charvel had an illegitamate child.

I like the ML OK, but not in that finish. Normally, that's my favorite finish, but it looks much better on an LP or a Destroyer, I think.
