Greatest F***ing Job. EVER!

So I was eating lunch today when I saw a copy of New York Magazine from a few weeks ago, and one of the headlines on the cover caught my eye: The Science of Ice Cream. Heres the article:

You know how I said I wanted to go into chemistry, but I didn't know what specifically? I think I found my dream job.

I'm going to become a molecular gastronomist.

Specifically, an ice cream scientist. Apparently this is a legit thing. These guys get articles in peer reviewed scientific journals and stuff like that. And ice cream is one of my favorite things in the world anyway, up there with music and dogs. So why not make a career out of doing all kinds of crazy **** with it?

there is a huge industry revolving around the chemistry of food ... all food ... even ice cream and also with the scents and smells of products.

i love the scent of orange pledge (on my basses) and the smell of swiffer pads.

peoples ever changing tastes and desire to try new things has chemists in this industry trying all different kinds of chemical combinations that they can use to stimulate people to buy a companies product over another (without poisoning them) .

cleaning products,

food,

deoderants,

candles,

candy,

laundy soap ............

... but i can understand why you would want to work mainly with ice cream.
