OK...had to share this one, even though it isn't me playing. Any Slipknot fans here?
We think these guys are incredible! Just the power and intensity, plus they have some really great vocals for doing such blistering metal!

Ughhh... not a big Slipknot fan. As far as nu metal goes, they aren't bad. And they've given extreme metal more mainstream exposure (because even though they aren't really extreme metal, most people can't tell the difference between Slipknot and actual death metal anyway). I just hate it when people say they're death metal and talk about how brutal they are and how they're the most extreme band ever.
And none of that's their fault. It's just the fans that piss me off. Kinda like the Grateful Dead.

I don't like Slipknot, but those huge drums are pretty awesome. Awesome in a way that I want a set on the roof.

yea i love slipknot. i saw them live at mayham fest 08. I was in the mosh pit and got killed lol. their new stuff sucks but their first two albums (slipknot and iowa) are the best

SlipKnot is not death metal, it's MASKED METAL
AND that is ONE of very few bands I could kill the bassplayer, put on a mask and jam with them and they wouldnt know the difference.
( as long as I played a lefty bass and was the same height under all the clothes )
