Hey guys, I've got an Ibanez BTB676 fretless, and was looking into installing a Kahler trem. My question is will one fit on the bass? If so which one should I go for?

Nobody can tell by just looking at it. You hafta measure.

for a 2410 or 7410 rear saddle kahler trem, you need 1.9" from the intonation line to the back of the bass so the kahler isn't hanging off the back. I don't see any reason why a 5 or 6 would be any different with a rearward saddle kahler.

you can't just plop a kahler in the spot where the old bridge was and claim, "It fit" and expect it to work properly. The saddles of the new kahler saddles need to be in the same spots as the old saddles (assuming it was intonated properly). All measurements for placing the kahler laterally should be taken from the intonation line.

and I would bet $100,000,000 that the kahler will require more routing to sink it in the top so the string height is in a playable range. Kahlers are very tall. You can only lower the saddles so far. If the saddles are all the way down on a kahler, flat top mounted, and the action is still too high, you gotta sink the base of the trem.

for a forward saddle you need even more "real estate" behind the bridge. I can tell you a 2400 or 7400 will be hanging off the back, installed properly. You need the rear saddle model if it's gonna fit.

First of all, welcome to the forum!
I had a BTB 5 string bass years ago.

Nice seeing someone else interested in using a trem on a fretless
Sometimes you can get away with not needing to sink the Kahler into the body, My Warmoth Jazz and Yamaha Attitudes aren't countersunk and have a low action but its probably best going in expecting you will need too and mention it to whoever you get to install it if you aren't doing so yourself, if you decide to get a trem.

Welcome to BTF, J! cheers

Both MadMike and Al have already made great points, so I can't really add much.
