Some of ya'll may have seen my posts about trying to get a set of bass pedals going. First there was the Elka OMB-5 set I was going to add MIDI to. When my less-than-stellar MIDI programming skills surfaced, I gave up and bought the Roland PK5 set. Then I needed a brain, (more brains....more brains) so next it was a Moog Minitaur....again....bad programming skills....so then it was a Roland JV1010....still more problems understanding MIDI....so I said SCARUEW IT!

The PK5, the Minitaur, and the JV1010 have been sold. Too old and set in my ways to mess with MIDI. Nope. Analog guy here. So I pulled out the old Elka set of pedals:

And after a lot of digging on the web, I managed to find and purchase a Basyn Analog Bass Synth Module:

So since it is such a lovely Sunday, I am going to hunker down in my shop today, and install the Basyn synth unit into the Elka pedals. I'll post pictures later today. Wish me luck! Laughing

Meh. Mad

I got the Basyn synth hooked up to the Elka pedals....and they DID produce some great synth tones....along with a TON of noise.

scratch

I tried different amps, different cords, but nothing made any difference. I'm going to send an email to Basyn to see if anything can be done.

I can't believe how much I've struggled with this! ARGH!!!! Mad
