| since my other pics floating around here are at least 4-6 months old, I had the chance that the drums are not in the basement cause we had a show last night so I pulled em all out to take another pic of the "pointies" except for the stradhead CHS that snuck in the pic since it has changed a bit in 6 months ... ( I used the 1b pbass with the emg on the far left last night. Its so cool to feel your pants moving while standing in front of a pair of B52's with thousands of watts behind it.) | |

you still want to sell any? i will pay for the postage. you still want that Futura huh? (second from the left on the floor) a quick estimate to Aus: Mailing Service Summary for a Large Package of 30 lbs 0 oz to Australia Mailing Summary Your Cost Priority Mail International (30 pounds 0 ounces) $180.65 Insurance (Amount of Insurance $400.00) 6.40 Total $187.05 Estimated delivery time to Australia is 6 - 10 Days I paid 252.73 for it, so let's say 255+ 190.00=445.00 because I want this badly before someone else does: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290404025281&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT as your 255 would allow me to buy it with a small amount on top of that.

as your 255 would allow me to buy it with a small amount on top of that. 455 USD = 490 AUD for me. And a rondo Ursa 3 is about 430 bucks. i'm seriously considering this, looks like a no brainer.

| in keeping with the theme of a "pair of each" here's the spares I would dump tomorrow. the red 3b, the futura and the CHS. . if any of those interest you make me an offer ( remember the high shipping ), and I'll see what I can do. I still have my Dillion MM copy 5stringer and Dillion tbirds, but never use them. I tried to sell the MM copy on ebay for 2 weeks...meh, noone wants to pay more than 100 for it, so I'll keep trying to get closer to 200. | |

| ya it's a 1-1/2inch nut like a Gibson compared to the 1-5/8-1-9/16th on all the Charvies. it is an extremely well put together unit but the only reason I never use it is the slab body has a sharp edge, and I can feel it in my arm if I play it more than a hour ( so I don't ) | |

| that's hard to say, my EPI has it's sound, the Jackson has it's sound and I never owned a Gibby to compare with. for quality control, it is 100% for a bass that originally cost less than 500 in the stores..
as a set-neck that has never been TR adjusted before the strings still do not buzz on any frets and I keep the action very low on all my units.

| OK Mike....question. Please understand that this is only out of simple, sick, twisted curiosity, and nothing more, OK Bro? Have you ever played even one Fender that you liked? Even close? If so, which one, and why? | |

| morBID curiosity.... owned one? never. played one yes including squire versions of both J and P...nope tone is comparable to anything else, but the neck is not for me. warmoth/allparts/OEM... I hear a billion stories about painted/oiled/sanded/modded...whatever till I'm sick of reading the same stuff on TB, but it is not the finish, it is the actual neck. #1 The flat back on the Jacksons is what attracted me a long time ago, not the width, bodyshape or tone. #2 ( or all that is a lie and I just can't stand being part of the majority when it comes to "enjoying" a fenderheadded unit regardless of how it plays ) maybe more #2 since I'm a rebel against musically being part of the masses anyway If I loved the necks on a BC RICH I would probably have a couple of those but why collect units if they are just there for decoration right? and Fenders failed attempt at "change" in the late 80's was just another example to me that people tend to just "go with the flow" ( unlike many on here who are innovators ) | |

| It's like with me and the scales/neck. When I start to play on a long scale bass, I don't have much fun. But when I'm playing a shorty, the magic happen. I don't know what short scale basses have that long scale don't have. But, I'll not play a long scale except if I am trying another bassist bass.
In my college, I've played numberous of Fender's and Music man's(Everyone have at least one of each or one copy). None was atracting to me, all big beefy neck and large frets.
In the college I am the bassist that is a little bit ''out of style''. But at least, people like to play with me.
I just wait for Warmoth to bring out their short scale basses and make them do a Greenburst P-bass with a jazz neck and a matching headstock(warmoth headstock). But, till then I'll wait before owning a fender styled instrument.

| I had 2 shortscales NOOB. the Dillion hofner-Icon copy, and an old 80's Gibby SG copy, both were great for what they are, but not for me. they tended to make my arm angle too much ( kinda like me sitting and playing which I NEVER DO ), so I sold them both.... | |

| Mike, totally interested in the red 3b. however i suck at making offers, give me a price I'm a big fan of flat necks too, i played a spector and musicman stingray and remember thinking "what is this crap" i can't stand circular baseball bat necks. | |

| I have it listed on ebay now Tekken for 250 freeship within the USA, if it don't sell, I'll sell it to you for 250, but I "REALLY" am trying to get 300 minimum out of it, considering how many others have gone way over 300 lately.... | |

| just to put this new post in the right thread, that was 350BIN, and someone did before I got home last night. the red 3b is now gone however to satisfy my pointy fetish for the month, I bought an old 80's Bently series10 superstrat for 100 bucks..it's either 100% junk, otr I got a good unit to add to the pointy collection. . and although none of these guitars have a kramer/charvel head on them, they also stay with the pointy theme . | |

| Speaking of Jacksons, mine has been getting a lot of attention lately. I just put on a pair of Dunlop strap locks. They make a huge difference in the balance and I like the neck a little more every day. How's that Concert V? | |

| the string spacing is narrow like an Ibanez....it has a 1-3/4" nut and is very heavy. I finally put the lefty neck back on the lefty, and the red 1b now has a righty neck back on it so no more parts basses laying around except for the leftovers from the first ZX70 I used the maple FB neck on the Charvie 575 since the frets were toast on that neck.
I'll do a "B" tuned song this weekend on it so you can hear it in action as I already made a video using the white ZX orphan....
