I don't remember my 7410 having one, or at least, I don't remember dealing with it. My 2410 and 2400 have one, however. I assume that it limits the trems action in some way, but how and how does it function?

I have a friend who never used his 20 year old black 2410? >>forward roller he says is still in the box for the right price.

I say the right price cause I cant do it myself and will have to pay someone reliable to rout it out.

this won't work on my Charvels I know, but I may take the plunge and toss it on my JacksonBird. It would only increase the value anyway, so as soon as I can find someone in the city/surrounding area that I can take it to, I may have a Tbird-Kahlerized.
The way the bridge pickup is positioned, it looks like the only way one would fit would be to reverse the direction of the saddles (from rear facing to forward facing). Is that possible on the Hybrid Series trems, or would I have to buy an older model that comes that way?

As the title says, recently, I've been experimenting with my Kahlers, a lot.

Changed the bend on the arms, tried the cam at different angles, tried it with less springs, etc.

Seems to me, with a few small mods, they could be incredible(more so, that is), really.

First, please, vintage arms! Or at the very least, add 3" to the current one, raising the angle of the arm, to counterbalance this works to give more dive, but is a harder dump, plus, its not so easy to alter the current ...

Anyone know if one of these would accommodate bass strings? I love the Fender Bass VI, but the new ones are expensive and way overpriced, and the originals are rare and even more expensive. So I've thought about making my own for a while now. Both Musicman and Schecter make a Bass VI-esque intrument, but neither have a trem, something I'd really like on mine. I know Strat trems work (I've tried), but there are no 30" or 30.25" conversion necks (at least that I've found), so that ...

Also, how about some of the other pieces? I could just buy one from Kahler but if I can get one cheap enough on ebay I figured it might be nice to have for spare parts.

Considered by many to be the gold standard of bass tremolos, the first Kahler bass trems were introduced around 1980 or 1981. They are noted for their ease of use, their tuning stability, and the fact that the routing to install one involves removing much less material than other bass tremolo designs. Their website is at: www.kahlerusa.com
